~ Repeating of a command~
"Also, punishment for having to repeat a command is always at the option of the master. For example, a command might not be clearly heard, or might not be
clear in itself, or might appear inconsistent with the master's presumed intentions. Whether punishment is in order or not is then a matter for judgment
on the master's part." Magicians of Gor - Page 198
“Strip,” I said.
“Master?” she asked.
“Must a command be repeated?” I inquired.
“No, Master!" she cried. In an instant she was bared."
~Mercenaries of Gor, Page 60~
Kneel,” I said.
“Kneel?” she asked.
“Must a command be repeated?” I asked."
~Fighting Slave of Gor, Page 11~
“Strip,” he said.
“There are others present,” she protested.
His right hand, in a backhand blow, lashed forth, fierce and powerful, striking her from her knees to her side on the tiles.
She rose to her hands and knees and, blood at her mouth, regarded him, disbelievingly.
“Must a command be repeated?” he inquired.
Swiftly she tore away the slave tunic, stripping herself."
~Guardsman of Gor, page 257~
Get on your knees
"A Gorean slave girl in the presence of a free man
or woman, always kneels, unless excused from doing so"
~Captive of Gor, page 73~
"Karta" or "Obiesience position"
karta is a position NOT named "Karta" in the books.
However the position itself is there and is the common required position for a slave when
first near a Free person.
"Swiftly we assumed a common form of slave obeisance, kneeling, the palms of our hands on the ground, our heads to the ground. Many masters, though it tends to be rather associated, usually, with given cities, require this position of their girls, usually when they first enter his presence, or find themselves, as in a room which he has entered, in his presence. She is then, usually, when given permission, permitted to lift her head, but is to remain kneeling before him, beautifully, in a standard position, her knees closed if she is a house or tower slave, her knees open, if she was the sort of slave I was, whatever sort of slave that was supposed to be"......Dancer of Gor, page 114
"I knelt before the guest, putting the palms of my hands on the floor and my head to the tiles."
.......Kajira of Gor, page 305
After you have been granted permission to enter, it is usually preferred that you greet in the following order: Your Owners, the Male Owners/Keepers/Swords of the room you are in, the other Male Free.... Then the Female Owners/Keepers of the room you are in, the other Female Free... ( all the men first and then a second line with all the free women).... then you may greet your sisters and brothers........ Do not string the greeting out by greeting each Free Person separately. That interferes with their conversation and calls attention to you.
Do not abbreviate a Free Person's name unless that person has given you permission to do so......In Second Life Gor, you will probably find the free do not allow
you to speak their names at all. In this case, "Greetings, Masters" is accepted by them. If you wish to offer up each name to show your respect, perhaps
something like this: "Greetings, Master. *smiles to Master Tabot*
~Greetings and ways to address the Free~
"The slave addresses all free men as "Master" and all free women as "Mistress." The phrase 'my Master,' when used, is commonly addressed to one's
personal master, one's owner. Similarly, if the slave is owned by a woman, the phrase 'my Mistress' is commonly addressed only to the slave's actual mistress.
To be sure, the slave commonly refers to her owner as she refers to free men and free women in general, namely, simply as "Master" or "Mistress."
Prize of Gor Book 27 Page 295
"You will address me," she said, "as Lady Elicia, my mistress, or, as you have done, simply as Mistress, that sort of thing."
"Yes, Lady Elicia, my mistress," I said.
"Excellent, Judy," she said, "you learn swiftly." She leaned back, "Oh, I shall relish owning you,"she said. "I shall demean and
humiliate you, and work you, and have whatever I wish from you."
"Yes, Lady Elicia, my mistress," I whispered. My former rival now owned me."
"Slave girl of Gor" PG 389
“We have seen no sign of Lord Grendel,” she said, “nor of Lady Bina.”
“You speak of her as ‘Lady’?”
“Yes, Master, for she is free.”
“We are much in the open,” said Cabot, “and with purpose. I want him to see us.”
“Then it is we who will be found?”
“And in our being found, he himself is found,” said Cabot.
“If it be he who finds us,” she said.
“Yes,” said Cabot, “if it be he who finds us.”
“Kurii may come here,” she said.
“Probably, at times,” said Cabot.
“Lady Bina has a name,” she said.
“She is free, as you correctly recognized. She named herself.”
“I may not name myself, may I?” she asked.
“Certainly not,” he said. “You are a slave.”
~Kur of Gor~
"Greetings, Ute," said I, smiling.
"Tal, El-in-or," smiled Ute

"The Gorean slave address all free men as "Master," and all free women as" Mistress."

~speaking the actual name of a Free person~
"Slave girls, of course, may speak the name of their masters to others, for example, as in locutions such as, "I am the girl of Calliodorus of Port Cos," or "I come from the house of Calliodorus." It is only that they are seldom, in addressing the master himself, permitted to use his name.
He is usually addressed simply as "Master," or as "my Master."
Guardsman of Gor - Page 270
"...for a slave girl is seldom permitted, at least publicly, to address her master by his name, only his title. The privilege of using his name, of having it on her lips, is, according to the most approved custom, reserved for that of a free woman, in particular a Free Companion. Gorean thinking on this matter tends to be expressed by the saying that a slave girl grows bold if her lips are allowed to touch the name of her master. On the other hand, I, like many Gorean masters, provided the girl was not testing or challenging me, and provided that free women, or others, were not present whom I had no wish to offend or upset, preferred as a matter of fact to have my own name on the girl's lips, for I think, with acknowledged vanity, that there are few sounds as pleasurable as the sound of one's own name on the lips of a beautiful woman."
---Priest Kings of Gor, 26:206
"'May I call you Tarl?' she asked. 'Only if given permission, ' I told her.
this was normal Gorean slave custom. Generally, of course, such permission is not even asked, and , if asked would be denied.
Sometimes a girl is whipped for even daring to ask this permission.
"A girl asks permission to call her
Master by his name," she said.
"It is denied," I said.
she said. I would not permit the slave girl to speak my name. It is not fitting that the
name of the master be soiled by being touched by the lips of a slave girl."
---Tribesmen of Gor, 26:360
“What is your
name?” I asked the girl.
“A slave has no name,” she said. “You may give me
one if you wish.”
On Gor a slave, not being legally a person, does not have
a name in his own right:"
… Outlaw of Gor, page Page 196
"Her name might be changed, or altered, as often as a Master wished. Indeed, he need not even give her a name. Changing a girl's name, or taking it away, are common modes of Gorean slave discipline.....Hunters of Gor, page 225
Yes, my dear, you are legally an animal. In the eyes of Gorean law you are an animal.
You have no name in your own right.." ....Explorers of Gor, page 316
You should always use correct spelling and
punctuation when speaking. Earth is not spelled Urth and collar is not spelled
ko-lar..... Also, slaves are not allowed to abbreviate when speaking ....welcome
back, not wb .... thank you, not ty...etc....a girl nodding in agreement is also
unacceptable. You should speak in full and complete sentences. Do not be lazy.
"Learning was closely associated, even immediately, with reward and
punishment. Sometimes, months later, even when not under the switch, a girl
would, upon a mistake in grammar or vocabulary, wince, as though expecting a
fresh sting of the switch. Goreans do not coddle their slave girls. This is one
of the first lessons a girl learns."
~Tribesmen of Gor, Page 13~
These Gorean sims and chat rooms are not gathering places for slave girls to hang out. A girl is here only to serve and make the free more comfortable and happy. You may not interrupt their conversation. These rooms are created for the free to enjoy the company of each other and of a slave, when the mood strikes them.
"It is common," I said, "for a slave to request permission to speak."
~Magicians of Gor, page 193~
"May I speak, Master?" asked the girl.
"Yes," I said, as Marcus would not respond to her. This permission may be given by any free person and is effective, unless it is overruled by the true master."
~Vagabonds of Gor, page 486~
"I do not know how to be a slave girl," she suddenly wept. I thrust her head down, "You will begin," I said, "by learning to be docile and submissive." I then rewound the wadding and, dragging her head up briefly, by the hair, from behind, pushed it into her mouth and lashed it in place. I then again thrust her head down. "Also," I said, "you will consider whether or not, at a given time, your master wishes to hear you speak. If you are in doubt, you may ask his permission to speak, which may then be granted or denied, as he pleases." Explorers of Gor - Page 412
"Master!" she wept.
"Were you given permission to speak? " I asked.
"No, Master," she wept.
"Then be silent," I said.
"Yes, Master," she said.
~Player of Gor, page 259~
Many rooms/worlds require that slaves speak in third person speech at all times. Be sure to follow the decisions of the owner.
"Master," she whispered.
"Yes?" I said.
"May I be taught to dance?" she asked.
"Who is 'I'?" I questioned.
"Alyena, your slave girl, Master," she whispered, "begs to be taught to dance."
~Tribesmen of Gor, Page 91~
"Buy me," she whispered. "Buy me. You are rich! You can buy me!"
"Is that how a slave begs?" I asked.
"Buy Tana!" she wept. "Buy Tana!"
---Hunters of Gor, 4:61
"’Who?" she demanded.
"I did" I cried, "I did!"
"Speak as a slave!" demanded Ute.
"El-in-or betrayed Ute!" I cried, "El-in-or betrayed Ute!"
~Captive of Gor, page 287~
"Eat your gruel," said Flaminius.
"No," she said. "No!"
Does Phyllis remember the lash?" asked Flaminius.
The girl's eyes widened with fear. "Yes," she said.
"Then say so," said Flaminius.
I whispered in Gorean to Ho-Tu, as though I could not understand what was transpiring. "What is he doing with them?"
Ho-Tu shrugged. "He is teaching them they are slaves," he said.
"I remember the lash," said Phyllis.
"Phyllis remembers the lash," corrected Flaminius.
"I am not a child!" she cried.
"You are a slave," said Flaminius.
"No," she said. "No!"
"I see," said Flaminius, sadly, "it will be necessary to beat you."
"Phyllis remembers the lash," said the girl numbly.
"Excellent," said Flaminius. "Phyllis will be good. Phyllis will eat her gruel
. Phyllis will drink her water."
.His eyes met hers and they conquered. She dropped her head, turning it to one side.
"Phyllis will be good," she said. "Phylllis will eat her gruel. Phyllis will
drink her water."
"Excellent," commended Flaminius"

For Second Life, mIRC and most other Gorean chat venues: If you are an uncollared girl, offer service. You are here for one purpose and one purpose
only.... to serve and to please. Do not for an instant lose sight of that absolute fact. (If collared, follow your owner's decisions, always being
pleasing. If you are not allowed to serve at all, maybe think about not going into Gorean rooms at all.)
For Second Life Gor: Uncollared girls are not allowed, so follow the instructions of your owner.
"What are the duties of a slave?" I asked.
"They are complex and
manifold, Master," she said.
"Speak generally," I said
"We are to be absolutely docile," she said. "totally obedient and fully pleasing."
~Savages of Gor, page 184~
"But are there no other duties?" I asked.
"A girl's first duty, of course, Master," she said, "is to be pleasing to her Master."
"In what way?" I asked.
"In any, and every way, of course, Master," she said shyly."
~Vagabonds of Gor, Page 443~
"It is the duty of a slave girl to be fully and completely pleasing to men. Were she not so she would be subject to severe punishment, including
even torture and death, should it be the master's wish."
~Slave Girl of Gor, page 226~
When a slave is serving, she is required to give her full attention to the one she is serving and to the task at hand. Do not speak to others in the room nor react to other things going on in the room that do not concern you and your pleasing of the Free person you serve and never, never answer a whisper, gram or instant message without permission from the one you serve. (and, actually, maralyn wouldn't ask for that permission unless it was extremely important.)
~keeping a girl's focus where it belongs~
"Do not concern yourself in this matter, with the values of others, and particularly of men, or of those who desire to be imitative of men, but seek to find your own female values, the deepest and most feminine values in your being, those of your deepest self. Try to find out who you are, in the depths of your most complete femaleness, and then dare to be what, truly, you are."
~Mercenaries of Gor, page 176~
~ Mind your own business~
"Do not concern yourself in this matter, with the values of others, and particularly of men."
~Mercenaries of Gor, page 176~
"Curiosity is not becoming in a Kajira is a common Gorean saying. The girl learns quickly that it is not her business to meddle in the affairs of
her master but, rather, to be beautiful, and serve him, abjectly and totally."
~Savages of Gor, page 61~
"What is to be done with us?" demanded Verna.
"Curiosity" said Marlenus, "is not becoming in a Kajira. You might be beaten for it"
~Hunters of Gor, page 142~
"Curiosity is not becoming in a kajira" he said.
"Nonetheless" I said "we are notoriously curious. Doubtless the saying would not have otherwise gained such wide currency."
~Kajira of Gor, page 443~
First rule in kneeling is: When you kneel before a man, you should position yourself in nadu. Before women, use tower. That being said, follow the instructions of your owner. Many men demand girls in nadu at all times, regardless of who else is there. If you are a pleasure slave,
you should probably be in nadu every time you kneel.
You are expected to learn all the positions. Click the positions link on the slave pages of this website for the descriptions of positions from the books.
OSGrid slaves, please feel free to visit the "slave training facility located the Gor University in Turia.
"A girl," I told her, "on entering the compartment of her master, kneels."
"I did not know, Master, " she said.
"Furthermore," I said, "commonly, in the presence of a free man, the girl kneels."
~Tribesmen of Gor, Page 46~
If a Free sees fit to punish you, accept it bravely and gracefully and learn from it. You should be grateful that the person took the time to
teach you...Be sure to thank them.
"Insubordination in any form, of any sort, in even the tiniest, least significant degree, is not accepted from slave girls by their Gorean masters."
~Players of Gor, Page 227~
"You cannot punish me!' she cried. "You are not my masters!"
"Any free person can punish an errant slave girl, "I said. "Surely you do not think that her behavior fails to be subject to supervision and correction as soon as
she is out of her Master's sight?"
~Magicians of Gor, page 225~
"Blood ran from my mouth; other blood I swallowed. My vision cleared; I could not believe the pounding of my heart. I had been cuffed. I knelt, terrified. At that time I did not realize how light had been my discipline considering the gravity of my offense. I had both spoken without permission, and broken position without permission. Most simply, I had been displeasing to a free man."
~Slave Girl of Gor, Page 34~
"The demeaning of men, whereas it is permitted to, and not unknown among, free women, is not permitted to female slaves.
Such, on their part, can be a capital offense."
~Magicians of Gor, page 226~
"Any free man may discipline an insolent or errant slave," I said, "even one who is the least bit displeasing, even one he might merely feel like disciplining. If she is killed, or injured, he need only pay compensation to her master, and that only if the master can be located within a specific amount of time and requests such compensation." In virtue of such customs and statutes the perfect discipline under which Gorean slaves are kept is maintained and guaranteed even when they are not within the direct purview of their masters or their appointed agents."
~Players of Gor, page 235~
Text only chat: Learn the interior and exterior descriptions of the rooms/worlds you visit and serve accordingly.
Do not put your face to the tiles when you are serving in the Gorean Falls...do not get chilled ka-la-na from a cool room if it is kept in a pit (Cabin in Cos) or in an ice shed (Longhouse of the Blue Inlet).....do not serve from the servery if the room has a kitchen, etc (In actuality, the gorean books do not mention serveries at all. slaves cook and serve from kitchens so don't use serveries unless instructed by a free)............
in other words, read the websites to see where things are located.
While a Free Person may not always be right, they are, by definition, never wrong. Slaves always have the last words in any conversation or disagreement
... "Yes, Master" or "Yes, Mistress".
